Saitec Offshore Technologies, a spin-off from Saitec Engineering, a civil engineering firm with over three decades of industry expertise, dedicated to the global expansion of floating offshore wind energy with a concrete technology known as SATH (Swinging Around Twin Hull). With a revolutionary approach, it overcomes water depth limitations, reduces costs, promotes local supply chain involvement, creating job opportunities in the developments and operation of offshore wind projects, all while minimizing the environmental footprint.

The company collaborates with energy firms, EPC contractors, and investors to plan, develop, and construct offshore wind parks using the SATH floating technology. Additionally, it offers engineering services at all stages of offshore wind projects, from site and wind assessment and feasibility studies to detailed design and technical support during construction.

One of its most notable projects is DemoSATH, a floating offshore wind turbine with a 2 MW turbine, installed in the BiMEP test area off the Basque coast, connected to the Spanish electrical grid. This project generates renewable energy, providing electricity to over 2,000 households annually. To further advance the technology, the next milestone is the GEROA project, a pre-commercial wind farm with a total capacity of 50 MW, situated 10 kilometers off the Basque coast.

Saitec Offshore Technologies is actively engaged in various international tenders and the development of commercial ventures across the globe, with a specific focus on the UK, France, Australia and Japan, it has established its own subsidiary, Saitec Offshore Japan KK, to drive technology development and contribute its expertise in the Japanese market.

GEM specialises in Marine Geosciences and operates worldwide in all economic sectors where knowledge of this natural environment is an essential part of function: renewables offshore, submarine cables and piping, maritime infraestructures, oil & gas and dredging.
